My Why
|
Kevin Lee Crozier, my uncle, was a great man. Dr. Crosier graduated from the University of Northern Colorado in 1991 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Kinesiology. In 2000, he earned his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago. Kevin opened his own practice which was named, Clear Vision Eye Care. He embodied what every man should be like. He loved his wife and adored his three beautiful daughters. He had a deep passion for loving, helping, and caring about people. Online reviews from former patients consisted of a loving guy, excellent service, patient, helpful, and will go out of his way to make the patient feel happy.
Kevin died by suicide on July 29, 2018. What many people do not know, was Kevin had suffered from depression for the entirety of his life. There was no traumatic experience which resulted in him having depression or a major loss of life that made him question life. He just felt empty at times. The National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) estimates that 16.2 million U.S. adults have had at least one major depressive episode in 2016. This represents 6.7 percent of the U.S. adult population. These statistics only account for clinical depressed people. The United States and the world consist of so many undiagnosed depressed people. |
